Jackie’s quick writing tips: Scrivener (1)

Welcome to my new series

I’ve put together a series of short videos with writing tips, based on the questions I get asked a lot at book events. I hope you find them useful, and I’m kicking off with a set of three videos on how to use Scrivener.

Lots of writers use Scrivener, the software specifically for writing. Many, however, struggle to get started with it, due to the overwhelming range of features it has. In this first video, I’ll show you how I’ve set up my Scrivener screen, and in the two videos coming next, I’ll show you how to find and navigate around the main features of the software, and how to customise your screen to your own liking.

Let me know what you think!

  1. Jackie, thank you for this. Can you explain how you did the setup not just what the set up was? I did like it and it was more intuitive than what I’m using in Scrivener now. Looking forward to the next videos.

    • Thanks John, yep the next video will be on how to use the main features to set up a writing space, then the third one will be on customising it 🙂
