Crime Scene Newsletter November

Welcome to the November round-up of crime fiction goodies! As COVID restrictions begin to tighten, there’s plenty to keep crime fiction fans happy at home. November sees the release of some cracking new reads, and Book Week Scotland offers a host of online crime fiction events for us to take part in. Download the newsletter here:

On the book front, we’re especially excited to see Sharon Bairden’s debut Sins of the Father, published on 27th November. Check our sister blog, Ally’s Book Reviews, for more nearer the time, but for now, get your pre-orders in, because this is going to be one killer of a book!

Our other top tips for the month are Nell Pattison’s Silent Night on 12th November, and Chris McDonald’s Whispers in the Dark on the 14th, and we’re also looking forward to Zoe Caldwell’s Predator (2nd November), Angela Marsons’ Deadly Cry (on the 12th), and Deborah Masson’s new thriller Out For Blood (on the 19th). Check the newsletter for details of these, and even more cracking reads coming out across the month.

Congratulations are in order, too, for some of our crime gang… Virtual Noir at the Bar, run by the fantastic Vic Watson and Simon Bewick has been shortlisted for the FutureBook Awards. Not content to stop at the huge success of VNATB, the pair are also up to something new – head over to @bay_tales on Twitter for more. We’re also delighted for Trevor Wood, who won the CWA New Blood Dagger, and Orenda Books for winning the CWA Publishers’ Dagger Winner!

As always, I’m keen to hear what you think – let me know your thoughts on the newsletter, and if you want anything added into next month’s edition, drop me a line.

Until then, be as bad as you can be!
