Crime Scene August Newsletter

Welcome to the August round up of crime ficition goodies. Download it here:

This month is packed full of criminal reads and online events – so much, that you’ll want to stay in lockdown to get in on the action.

Running from 14th – 16th August, it’s the Reading Between the Crime online book festival, organised by blogger Lynsey Adams. Make sure you book your place at all the amazing events lined up in the programme.

There are plenty of new releases coming your way during August, too, including two from hot new publishers Red Dog Press, and the latest from Sandra Ireland and Lin Anderson. Watch out later in the month, too, for Tana Collins‘ new Inspector Carruthers book, In Deep Water. We’ll be reviewing it when it’s released on the 24th.

If you haven’t already purchased your copy of Noir from the Bar, get it now! Check the newsletter for details of how this fascinating anthology came about. Not only is it a fabulous read, it’s raising money for NHS charities.

We’d also like to give a shout-out to an important pre-order. Coming out on 3rd September is Stolen Lives, on the topic of modern slavery and human trafficking in the UK. Pre-order it from Sandstone Press, and £2 from each copy goes to an anti-trafficking charity.

As always, I’m keen to hear what you think – let me know your thoughts on the newsletter, and if you want anything added into next month’s edition, drop me a line.

Until then, be as bad as you can be!
